Mio Launches Sponsorship Website to Celebrate 100 Days to World Expo 2010

Exclusive Expo e-travel guide is available via a PC and a web enabled cell phone

Mio, a leading brand of Personal Navigation Devices, launched its Expo 2010 sponsorship campaign website, “Expand Your Horizons”, http://www.mio.com/expo2010, today. As the exclusive GPS senior sponsor of World Expo 2010 Shanghai China, Mio intends to make it easier for people to explore more of the great event. Visitors can find useful Expo 2010 travel information online and check out Mio’s exclusive Expo travel guide that covers recommendation for hotels, sightseeing, shopping and etc. Mio will also kick off an on-line event of a global scale at a date nearer to the grand opening of the World Expo.

The website goes live on the 100 day countdown to Expo 2010. The slogan “Expand Your Horizons” underlines Mio’s vision to help people explore the world freely and easily. As Expo 2010's exclusive GPS device sponsor, Mio will be providing visitors with the means to navigate around Shanghai and the Expo by supplying navigation devices for rental during the duration of the exposition. In the website Mio provides an extract version of Expo travel guide in English and Chinese, users can view it on a PC or a web enabled cell phone (http://m.mio.com/expo2010) on the go.

Meanwhile, to echo the green-conscious theme of Expo 2010 – Better city, better life, Mio call upon people to take action during Global Earth Day and presents the brand’s 2010 strategies and plans for a greener earth..

 “Becoming greener and more environmentally friendly is a long term business strategy. It requires commitment and dedication from all areas of the product supply chain. As part of our responsibility we are proudly sponsoring World Expo 2010”, said Billy Ho, the president of Mio Technology.
As Expo 2010's exclusive GPS device sponsor, Mio will be providing visitors with the means to navigate around Shanghai and the Expo by supplying navigation devices for rental during the duration of the exposition. Users will be able to rent Mio A2010 GPS enabled cell phones and S500E portable navigation devices to help them get the most from their time in Shanghai and at the Expo.

Mio signed exclusive GPS senior sponsorship deal with World Expo 2010 Shanghai China in 2008 and made it self the first GPS brand the became senior sponsor in 150-year history of the World Expo. Mio has been cooperating closely with the Shanghai World Expo Bureau to offer excellent products and promote the theme “Better City, Better Life” together.

About World Expo 2010 Shanghai China
Expo 2010 will be held in Shanghai, China from May 1–October 31, 2010. The theme of the exposition will be "Better City – Better Life". For its 184 days, participants will display urban civilisation to the full extent, exchange their experiences of urban development, disseminate advanced notions on cities and explore new approaches to human habitat, lifestyle and working conditions in the new century. 192 countries and 49 international organizations will participate the exposition, and 70 million of visitors are expected to join the event.
